SuperSpace Dev Log #5: Post-Launch Hotfixes & Improvements
Following the recent major update, we've been closely monitoring player feedback and server performance. This hotfix addresses the most critical issues and adds quality-of-life improvements based on your feedback.
🔥 Critical Fixes
Dreadnaught Rewards Fixed Only the killing blow player was getting rewards from Dreadnaught battles. Now ALL participating players receive credits and gems when a Dreadnaught goes down. Cooperative boss battles now properly reward everyone who contributed. Dreadnaught kill rewards have been increased significantly.
Server Stability Improvements Migrated to a more robust server infrastructure for better reliability and performance. If you experienced connection issues or login problems over the past few days, these should now be resolved.
⚡ Gameplay Improvements
Impact Deflector Tuning
- Reduced Deflector energy cost - It is now more practical to use in combat situations
- Changed Deflector to press-to-activate instead of hold (no more accidental activations)
- Better integration with afterburner and other systems
Afterburner Physics & Performance Enhancements
- Smoother acceleration and better speed management.
- The afterburner now feels more responsive and controllable during flight and intense dogfights.
Missile Launcher Balance
- Seeker Missiles now alternate firing sides for improved visual feedback. You can actually see which launcher is active.
Energy & Combat Balance
- Adjusted energy costs across several weapons for better balance
- Shield capacity now properly includes skill boosts
- Refined skill point earning for more consistent progression
🎮 New Features
In-Game Tips System Helpful gameplay tips now appear occasionally in the chat, teaching advanced strategies like energy management and combat tactics without interrupting your flow.
Zoom Controls Added keyboard zoom functionality for precision aiming or getting a wider tactical view of the battlefield.
Visual Ship Upgrades Your ship now displays visual indicators for equipped weapons, armor, and cargo upgrades. See at a glance what loadout other players are running.
New Premium Avatars Added 'Steve' and 'Endingman' to the avatar collection for purchase.
📱 Mobile & Tablet Improvements
Touch Interface Overhaul
- Premium store now fully supports touch interactions
- Better iPad optimization with refined UI layouts
- Status panel positioning fixed across all device types
- Tutorial enhanced for mobile with proper touch controls and messaging
UI Polish
- Adjusted button spacing to prevent overlaps on touch devices
- Improved device detection for better cross-platform experience
- Cleaner interface on tablets and larger screens
