The Bellmore is a haunted hotel management game set in Portland, Oregon, 1887 and every day since.
You play as a new Bellhop at The Bellmore, a once grand hotel that has seen better decades. Your job: keep the living comfortable and the dead from ruining the reviews.
Manage guest happiness, fulfill requests, and navigate incidents that don't always have good answers. Tend to the permanent residents, ghosts with genuine histories, opinions, and moods that affect everyone on their floor. Work your way up from Bellhop to Front Desk Clerk to General Manager, and if you're very good (or very lucky), maybe acquire the property yourself.
The Bellmore is a browser-based text game with a gothic hotel aesthetic, a cast of 35+ guests, 20+ permanent ghost residents with unlockable backstories, and events drawn from real Portland history the 1894 flood, Vanport, the Shanghai tunnels, the 1962 Columbus Day storm.

This game is so fun! However, just a note: I'm playing on browser on my Macbook and for some reason it won't let me scroll down on the requests, so I end up losing because I can't access guests or ghosts in order to fulfill their requests.

Really sorry about the scrolling issue! I tracked it down and it was a single line in the page settings (
user-scalable=no) that was accidentally telling Mac browsers to block trackpad gestures. Uploading the fix right now with v0.9.4.If you get a chance to try it again and can confirm it's working, that would mean a lot! Thanks again for taking the time to leave such a kind note despite the bug. 🙏
I’ll let you know in the morning about how it runs on MacBook! This game is genuinely so fun, I love how strategic you have to be with allocating your time! The ghost element is such a fun addition to the job-simulator management genre!
